Blessing of the Pets

Petrol is proud to support Blessing of the Pets, an annual event that attracts some 500 dogs each year.   In the spirit of St Francis of Assisi, the patron Saint for the protection of animals, the event is to bless the creatures, great and small, feathered, four-legged, or  other, for the companionship, kindness and love they show their families.

Lake Norman Currents Commodore over Dog Search

August 28, 2010 l Huntersville, NC

Is your mutt model material? If so, register him/her for CURRENTS first ever Cover Dog Search! This fun-filled event, August 28 at Blythe Landing, allows your adorable pooch to walk the runway in search of capturing the coveted prize of being on the cover of Currents October issue with proceeds benefiting the Cornelius Animal Shelter Alliance Animal (CASA) Wellness Program.

Mojitos & Mutts Happy/Yappy Hour

Petrol is proud to join with I Love Dogs and Hotel Maya for Mojitos & Mutts to benefit Long Beach Animal Care Service. The dog-friendly event will be held at Hotel Maya’s Luna Solstice Patio featuring an exclusive events-only drink menu, plus treats for Fido. Petrol will also be handed out in special gift bags with goodies for pet owners and their pooches!

It’s also for those that want to learn more about what pets are doing online and learn how they, too, can be a part of this growing online community.

BarkWorld Expo is the ONLY forum for pet parents, pet businesses and those interested in the pet community and come together to network, educate, collaborate and have fun all under one “woof”!

National Night Out

Petrol is proud to join with the Cornelius Police Department and dozens of area businesses and organizations in support of National Night Out—America’s Night out Against Crime. This family event is free and open to the public to promote community safety and crime prevention. The Petrol team will be passing out free Petrol samples to guests at the event.

Hounds for Hospice

July 17, 2010 l Statesville, NC

Join Petrol as we join in our support along with The Ryan Newman Foundation for Hounds for Hospice! The charity dog walk/run will help support Hospice & Palliative Care of Iredell County as well as offer folks the chance to learn and support the Newman's Foundation which supports a number of Pet related charities.

All registrants will get a free can of Petrol and be able to purchase Petrol Gift packs to take home with 25% of the purchase price supporting this great cause.  The event is rain or shine!

The Kennelly 5K and Pet

The Pet Postcard

May 11 - September 11, 2010

Petrol is proud to be a prize sponsor of this amazing effort spearheaded by pet journalist Nikki Moustaki (host of MSNBC’s Celebrity Pet Dish, writer for Dog Fancy and Pet Products News). The project encourages pet lovers to mail in homemade postcards, and for each postcard received, a dog food company donates a pound of food to an animal shelter. In the past three years, the project has raised $18,000 dollars and 90,000 pounds of food. For more information and to submit a postcard with your pets, visit www.petpostcardproject.com.
